Who are the Animorphs? The first five came to be one night coming home from the mall. They took a shortcut, through an abandoned construction site. There, their lives were changed forever. They met their first alien, Prince Elfangor-Sirinal-Shamtul. He told them of the yeerks, and the threat they post to humans and earth, and all other sentient creatures. He gave them a weapon to fight the yeerks, and to hold them off until the andalites came back again. He gave them the power to morph. They are still fighting, but now they have more help. From Elfangor's little brother, Aximili, to Erek and the other Chee.
The Animorphs
Jake
Jake is the unofficial leader of the Animorphs, but not by choice, by character. He has a trustworthy personality. The kind of person you always look to if you have a problem. He's good at making life and death decisions quickly, even when it involves his friends.
Jake is about 13 or 14 years old, we may never know for sure. He is rumored to live anywhere from Maryland to Florida, from California to Oregon. He likes Cassie, as in likes. He is Rachel's cousin. Marco is his best friend, even though they have been known to argue over the strangest of things, like if something could taste like a color, or their trademark argument: whether or not Spiderman could kick Batman's butt, and vise versa.
Jake is tall, and according to Cassie, he is also handsome. He has bown hair, and brown eyes.
Rachel
Rachel is the real warrior of the Animorphs. She is always looking for a fight. Her favorite saying is "Lets do it!" She seems to be insanely brave.
Rachel is tall, blonde with blue eyes, and into fashion. She is Jake's cousin. Rachel is constantly in competition with Marco. Marco makes fun of her, and she comes right back. Rachel and Cassie are best friends, even though they are complete opposites. Cassie would rather take care of injured animals than shop for deals at the mall. Rachel likes Tobias, a lot. It's a very tough relationship, Tobias is a nothlit hawk, and Rachel is a human. It's a little more difficult than Romeo and Juliet.
Rachel's parents are divorced. She lives with her mom, Naiome, who is a laywer. Her father had to move to a different state because of a better job. He is a broadcast journalist. She has two sisters, Sara and Jordan.
Cassie
Cassie is a natural peacemaker. She always questions the moral issues of every risky mission the Animorphs take on. I guess it's her nature. Cassie is also the "best morpher," she morphs the fastest and has more talent for morphing than Ax.
Cassie loves animals. She lives with her parents, who both care for animals. Her mom works at the Gardens, an amusement park/zoo. Her dad runs the wildlife rehibilitation center out of the family's barn.
She likes Jake, as in likes. Her best friend is Rachel. She is an only child.
Marco
Marco was the most reluctant of the Animorphs at the beginning, until he found out that his mother was not dead, as he and his father believed before, but she had suffered a fate worse than death, she was a controller, Visser1. Marco spends his time making dumb jokes to lighten the rest of the Animorphs' moods, although the jokes are ill-appreciated. His most common phrase is a sign of his reluctance to be in the fight with the yeerks. "Are you insane?"
Marco is short, has short dark hair, brown eyes, and a suspicious look. He is about 13 or 14. His best friend is Jake. They love to argue over the dumbest things, like whether Batman could kick Spiderman's butt, and who's better at video games. He trades lines with Rachel in an on going put-down competition. He has a sarcastic attitude and makes fun of every one of the Animorphs at one time or another.
His mom disappeared when he was younger, and he and his father believed she was dead. He lives with his dad Jeremy, who is an engineer. His mom, Laura, is Visser1's host.
Tobais
Tobias was a dork that the bullies liked to beat up before the animorphs were given the morphing capibilities. In fact, he would not have been with the Animorphs that night had it not been for Jake saving him from a swirly, after that, he concidered Jake his friend.
Tobias is trapped in a red tailed hawk morph, but when he was human he was tall, and had wild dirty-blonde hair. He spent his time daydreaming when he was human, but now as a hawk he defends his territory and catches mice. He is probably the most full-time of the Animorphs, along with his friend Ax. Later Tobais was given back his morphing power by the Ellimist. He still lives as a red tailed hawk, but was able to acquire his old human body.
His parents are Elfangor and Loren. Both parents disappeared when he was young, and he was shuttled between his aunt and uncle, neither of which really wanted him.
Ax
Ax is the only Andalite in the Animorphs, though Scholastic doesn't seem to recognize him as one of them. "Ax and the Animorphs." His best friend, or "shorm" is Tobias. They both live in the woods by Cassie's house.
Ax's parents are still on the Andalite homeworld. His family builds heat-transfer parts for space ships. His brother is Elfangor--who gave the Animorphs their powers in the first place--but died at the hands of Visser 3.
When Ax morphs human, there are usually complications, involving the sense of taste. He is crazy about taste, because Andalites have very little sense of taste. His favorite food is the Cinnamon Bun. He also enjoys chocolate (who doesn't?).
